(IT) Technical Project Manager

Location: Melbourne CBD   

Technical Project Manager is currently required for a permanent position to successfully identify, cost and mange the commissioning of all IT related actives from the clients project area. You will also work with IT and vendor organizations to ensure IT operations readiness for the up and coming projects. You will also be required to perform the following: Review of project scope statements with a view to identifying IT requirements Development of technical specifications (bills of materials) Preparing costings (initial and ongoing) Preparing Statements of Work for delivery by Managed Services providers Vendor management Provision of strategic advice regarding server, network and desktop hardware and software. Capacity Planning. Negotiating Price/Contractual Terms/Service Level Agreements. To be successful in this position you will have hands on experience in project management and technical solutions architecture and have a thorough knowledge of desktop/server hardware, SAN storage, switch, Firewall and data communication technologies.
