(IT) ICT Project Office Manager – $145K Package (S17)
Rate: 145k Location: Sydney, New South Wales
Our client is a well-established and respected Australian utility that has built itself upon a reputation of continuous success and innovation within their market. Due to continual growth my client currently requires the services of ICT Project Office Manager in a permanent capacity to be located in Sydney CBD paying up to $145k package + fantastic benefits. The role is responsible for maintaining an effective control framework to ensure all information and technology related change initiatives and projects deliver to accepted quality and cost standards. This also includes the oversight and support of Project Office staff in set up and maintenance of project schedules, the production of management reporting and the ongoing development of the system to incorporate new functionality. Accountabilities Team Leadership Responsible for the day to day management and direction of 10 staff to: Provide direction and leadership to a team 3 Senior Project Officers and 1 Project officer to implement and deliver project support services including processes, documentation, reporting and tools to assist the delivery of cost effective ICT projects. Provide direction and leadership to the Resource Coordinator. Provide administrative oversight to a team of 5 highly skilled Senior Project Managers Relationship Management Performance Expectations Essential skills include: Extensive experience in the management of a project office for a large organization, up to 12 senior reports and 20 in-direct reports. Project management experience. Experience with project management tools such as Primavera or Clarity and their application within a large project office. Effective demonstrated people and technology leadership skills gained in leading a team within a large complex ICT team environment. In depth understanding of the project management life cycle. Strong ability to maintain consultative/participative processes with key clients, stakeholders and staff and influence business divisions to adhere to project management, processes, procedures and methodologies. Experience in the facilitation of groups during planning and design activities, change management activities. Very high level of liaison, communication (oral and written), negotiation, consultation, conflict resolution, change management, and report and documentation writing skills. Strong conceptual and strategic planning abilities, specifically within a large commercial ICT operation. Financial literacy in capital portfolio planning and project budgeting.
