(IT) SAP (SD) Supply Chain Functional Consultant

Location: Sydney, New South Wales   

Exciting permanent opportunity with one of Australia’s leading manufacturing companies that is looking to expand capabilities of their recently upgraded SAP ECC6 system – in terms of functional use and adoption of latest technologies. You will be an integral part of the solutions team responsible for providing business solutions architecture across this client’s internal IT systems. This includes the areas of E-commerce and Web enabled application development, SAP module implementation and modification, Legacy system enhancements and overall change management where business improvement projects are undertaken. The purpose of the SAP Supply Chain Functional Analyst is to ensure that new processes and systems meet the requirements and business objectives across all areas of Supply Chain. You will have strong configuration and technical skills in the SD module and a sound understanding of the PP and MM modules to deploy enhancements and support including testing, documentation, training and implementation. Your responsibilities will also include business analysis and facilitation of rapid, quality and effective decision making amongst key stakeholders across all business units. To be suitable for this position with will have a minimum of 5 years’ hands on SAP SD experience including strong configuration skills with ECC, IDOC and enhancement experience. You will have exposure and willingness to further develop cross-functional skills in areas of Procurement, Manufacturing and Plant Maintenance. You will have a sound understanding of interface points between SD and other SAP modules like FI/CO and BW. You will also have exposure to ABAP programming, developing enhancements and debugging. You must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and either be an Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
