PL/SQL development Crystal Reports development Learn Asset Management Learn Bond Market New Contract roles that need to start in November. Primary responsibility will be development using Oracle PL/SQL and ongoing development of Crystal Reports. Your role, after learning the product, will have you responsible for the development, maintenance and support of their Dimension (SimCorp) Asset Management system. Specifically, the role focuses on Crystal Report development and PL/SQL stored procedure development. The client is a major player in Asset Management and the Bond Market which you can learn about as you go. You do not need to have financial experience but there is more money in the contract if you do and more again if you have experience with the Dimension product from Simcorp. The client is happy to take one person without financial experience so long as your PL/SQL skills are strong and your Crystal Reports experience is at the developer end not just support. You will gain excellent experience and knowledge within Financial Markets and Wealth Management. You will be programming in a mixed hardware (Windows, Unix) environment. You would need to have Enterprise level experience in working directly with the business in relation to specifying requirements and developing/enhancing system functionality as well as 1-2 years developing Oracle based applications ideally Oracle 9i or later versions. Strong experience in developing PLSQL stored procedures and packages and developing reports using Crystal Reports 9 or later version. Generally you will have solid experience of SDLC methodologies with business requirements specification, gathering technical specification documentation (based on company templates), Development (including unit and system testing), providing assistance to the Business during User Acceptance Testing, and assisting with the authoring of test cases and scripts, and implementation. You will be fully trained in Dimension (Simcorp application) or have your existing skills expanded. The role will markedly improve your Skills and Attributes in Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, logical and lateral thinking skills, team based organisational skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and process, goal orientation, relationship management skills, and communication skills (written and verbal). Money is open but will be based on a daily contract rate for an initial six months renewable. There is easily two plus years work here.
