(IT) Technical Consultant J2EE, Websphere, and portal development experien

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia   

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and responsible Technical Consultant to join a dynamic and technically diverse application support team . The role involves working on a range of applications centred on leading edge Java portal technology. You will ensure that systems are maintained and supported including periodic enhancement and maintenance releases. You will report to the Team Lead and work closely with other business and IT teams. Some key responsibilities: Analysis, support and maintenance of production incidents and problems Involvement in Disaster Recovery planning and execution Assessing service requests and identifying and implementing an appropriate business or technical solution. Participating in a 24×7 team roster and rotation Technical Experience: WebSphere Application Server and J2EE methodologies WebSphere Portal Server and JSR168 standards Experience in Java portlet and EJB development Knowledge of Spring MVC and Workflow frameworks Presentation layer techniques such as HTML, Style Sheets, Java Scripts Understanding of SOA Industry Experience: Two years of experience supporting a wide variety of business applications Experience in Production Support environment This is a great opportunity to work within a successful and reputable financial organisation.
