(IT) ETL Developer

ETL Developer required for our client, a Top Tier UK Investment Bank, based in Singapore. Key Job Responsibilities Collaborate with business analysts/designers and write, translate, and code ETL programs according to specifications Run and monitor performance tests on new and existing ETL code for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging. Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, programmers, and other software engineers to resolve any issues in supported applications. Provide technical support, production support, trouble shooting, and upgrade setup/support on Informatica PowerCenter and database related issues. Responsible for developing, executing and maintaining appropriate ETL administration best practices and procedures. Establishing and enforcing internal ETL governance and technical standards for ETL developers. Monitors and tunes ETL repository and system for performance improvements. Assist in designing reusable ETL components, such as mapplets and worklets, to make the processing more efficient and easier to maintain. Assist in the architecting data integration solutions and developing data quality strategy. Serve as a mentor, coach and trainer for ETL developers and as a resource for technical design and decisions. Key Competencies . Effective in written and verbal communication Technical Job Specifications . Minimum BS degree in EECS (Electrical Engineering/Computer Science), Computer Science, Math, Financial Engineering or other related field. . Minimum 6 years of enterprise software engineering experience and at least 3 years of it should be in data warehousing, preferably in the Financial industry . Minimum 4 Years of ETL design and development experience with Informatica PowerCenter . Minimum 3 years of Informatica PowerCenter Administration experience including Installation, Upgrades and Support . Minimum 6 years of experience in SQL . Experience in Dimensional Models . Experience in Business Intelligence tools - preferably Business Objects/Web Intelligence
