(IT) Clinical Terminology Analyst Data/Business Analyst National Project
Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Outstanding opportunity to join a large scale federally funded project that will effect the whole Australian health industry developing standards for the exchange of clinical information! This role is within the National Clinical Terminology Service department and they are looking for a Terminology Analyst, who will be responsible to create, maintain, and represent terminology content for the health care domains, so that the resulting data can be described and used to support information exchange across the health sector. Other responsibilities include: Develop local terminology reference sets and extensions Assist in the management of the integration between terminology and clinical information data specifications Validate/test new content, including structure and content prior to release Other duties as assigned and agreed with the Product Manager To be suitable for this role you will need the following skills: Health care sector experience; Degree level qualification with an emphasis on health, biological science or medicine or equivalent level qualification in a relevant health domain would be advantageous; Experience working with health information software packages; Pathology experience Knowledge of health informatics standards (HL7); Understanding of SNOMED CT and its use in clinical practice is very beneficial Knowledge of clinical classification/terminology development and maintenance.
