(IT) CFO/Finance Director

Rate: USD170k - USD180k per annum + tax free with expat package   Location: Kabul   

My client, a Telco Operator in Afghanistan, is looking to hire an expat CFO. Salary US$180k (tax paid) & 4 home leaves per year (plus local holidays), business class flights, secure accommodation, meals, local transport etc, plus annual bonus and end of service bonus. Job Purpose: Provide direction to company’s finance and accounting, treasury and cash management and office logistics and support functions. Develop operating policy and procedure to support the company’s strategic and business objectives. Evaluate each function’s progress against performance objectives. Advises other executives and managers on accounting and finance issues eg analytics, budget, headcount and administrative requirements driven by professional, or governmental regulations. Member of Management Board. Qualifications & Experience: 7-10 years of increasingly responsible professional experience - financial and operational - including supervisory experience. At least three years in the lead accounting and financial or Chief Financial Officer role. Competencies: Strong broad business knowledge in competitive market Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and analyze detailed financial reports Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent team skills: build cross-department teams & drive for results Experience in treasury and cash management organization Experience in capital and expense budget management and management and board of director reporting Corporate tax experience Extensive supervisory experience and strong coaching and mentoring skills Strategic and operations planning experience Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including the Board of Directors Ability to translate complex and detailed financial and results information into easy to understand concepts to a general audience without specialized financial knowledge. Education: Masters degree (MA) or equivalent desired, college degree (BA) mandatory or more than ten years related experience in a senior role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
