(IT) Firewall Specialist

Location: Sydney   

Cisco Certified Security Engineer Large Multi-national Company Latest in Firewall technology This position will involve daily Implementations, Configurations and operations of the leveraged Firewall service infrastructure. You will be working primary with Cisco and Checkpoint Firewall products in order to help design, confirm, determine and/or troubleshoot Firewall traffic flows. Network Security Services include daily maintenance and operations of multiple customers’ Firewall and network security infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation of Firewall and network security support activities and processes. Required Skills: 3 + years of Network troubleshooting and support experience. 3 years+ Network Firewall Implementation, Configuration and design Must have in depth experience with Checkpoint version R55 or higher on Linux or Unix based platforms. Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches. Experience with Cisco Firewalls should be PIX 6.x or ASA Must have excellent customer interaction skills and experience. Desired Skills: Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA) or Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE). Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials: At least CCNA working towards CCSP/CCDA This person must have good time management skills to properly manage operations duties and other task that will assist in the optimization of the Firewall team. Candidate will be required to work independently and remotely when Implementing, ability to solve problems with minimal client input and ability to escalate when solution is not readily apparent.
