(IT) Consultant (VMware) $120000

Rate: $120k   Location: Sydney   

Our client is a trusted supplier of innovative, world class solutions to your IT infrastructure challenges, across the Asia Pacific region. They have a requirement for an additional Senior Consulting Engineer with specialist skills for the growth of the Server, Messaging Collaboration, and Storage, Networking Virtualisation Practices and further growth in the business throughout the Sydney market place. Your duties and responsibilities will include: Analyse requirements from project teams and managers. Install, test and configure Microsoft Windows and Exchange Server based solutions. Build, install, test and configure VMware based solutions (including capacity assessments, P2V, ESX2.5 to VI3 upgrades; and utilising VMotion, HA, DRS, VCB). Provide technical leadership for project teams. Work autonomously and lead small teams. Hold all current relevant qualifications (eg MCSE, VCP). Work across multiple projects. Write Project Documentation. Work alongside existing staff on client sites. Attend pre-sales meetings. Consult on Server, messaging and VMware projects in technical lead roles, primarily on Exchange and VMware Design/Implementation projects. Write proposals and respond to bids without sales support. Documentation of option and solution papers for projects. We would like you to apply if you have 2 + years solid large corporate experience in VMware (ESX 2.5/VI3), Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Windows Server.
