(IT) Intel Systems Engineer

Location: Melbourne, Victoria   

Intel Systems Engineer – VIC Due to growth and expansion we have an immediate vacancy for an experienced Intel Systems Engineer to join our Melbourne based team. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the purpose of your role is to support Interactive s Outsourcing Customers through day to day problem solving, incident management and change implementation. You will have a passion for customer service and enjoy taking ownership and resolving issues from the customer s perspective. You will know what it takes to apply enterprise class IT infrastructure and processes for business critical, high availability customer systems. Experience Architect large scale, highly available Intel based systems Experience with load-balancing & clustered environments Support experience with significantly sized user base Strong technical understanding of server hardware technology Strong technical understanding of virtualisation technologies, including VMWare Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Server Software (Windows, Exchange, SQLServer) Strong technical understand of LAN systems (DNS, Active Directory etc.) Strong technical understanding of security architecture and standards Strong technical understanding of data management and protection, including DR Working knowledge of SANs Working knowledge of WANs Experience designing and deploying monitoring solutions Experience designing and implementing automation solutions Experience designing and implementing Thin Client desktop solutions, such as Citrix Understanding of IT Service Management, experience with ITIL or organisations implementing ITIL processes Advantageous Microsoft Certification ITIL Certification OS/400 administration skills Unix administration skills (AIX, HP-UX, and/or Solaris) Linux administration skills Large scale server environment (250+ servers) Storage administration skills WAN troubleshooting skills Attributes Customer focus Team player Management/Leadership skills and experience Flexible approach to work Innovative Honesty and integrity Positive attitude If you have the skills we are looking for and want to work for a progressive and dynamic company, please apply today
