(IT) Security Engineer

Location: Sydney   

Latest Technologies Great Environment Share your skills and Knowledge As an integral part of the company you will be required to work closely with all aspects of the business and must be able to understand customer requirements both in their business and IT needs. You will also have the hands on ability to implement security solutions. Personal Requirements: 5+ years experience in Network Engineering or related field Strong Switching, Routing and Internetworking skills Strong configuration/implementation skills Client facing and interpersonal skills Sound Troubleshooting, Network Configuration and hands on technical skills Must have CCNA and CCNP (CCIE highly regarded) Required Skills and Knowledge: Experience with Cisco PIX/ASA and Checkpoint Firewalls Knowledge and experience with Cisco Switches, Routers and Security Extensive experience with Windows, Unix and/or Linux Knowledge and Experience Implementing Multi-protocol/Multi platform environments Previous experience developing, compiling and implementing security policies, practices and standards for network security Experience with Intrusion detection systems, Router based security options and LAN/WAN technologies Design experience implementing and supporting security solutions The ideal person for this role will have a ‘can do’ attitude, will be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
