(IT) Developer/Analyst Programmer

Permanent opportunity National Organisation CBD Immediate Start $ Our client a well respected national organisation requires an experienced developer to join their successful team. The position supports development initiatives in all areas including (MS SharePoint 2007, MS office, Extranet/Internet/Intranet Systems) Responsibilities: Development and enhancement of applications for internal use as required by Business Services Groups. Development of client-facing collaborative applications, shared between external client organisations and internal Practice Groups. Defined methodologies and standards are followed for all development projects. Change control, configuration management, and extensive testing and software quality assurance are all integral parts of the teams work and practices. Software components are designed so as to be widely re-deployable, wherever possible. Existing reusable components are deployed wherever appropriate. Proactively identify and contribute to areas for continuous improvement. Key Skills: Thorough knowledge of software development life cycles. 12+ months commercial experience performing advanced SharePoint application development with exposure to the MOSS 2007 product range. Extensive commercial experience developing software solutions within a Microsoft.NET framework in C# or Visual Basic using Visual Studio or a derivative eg VBA Word, VBA Excel, VSTO Extensive Microsoft Visual Basic/VBA/Visual Studio for Office/VSSO development skills, on document generation, automation and workflow project that impact at an enterprise wide level. Manager or JavaScript, ASP, XHTML, Web services and related technologies. Experience with Web development using Lotus Notes/Domino and IBM Lotus Workplace Web Content (Desirable) Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non technical stakeholders. Time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. Pro-active approach with a focus on continuous improvement Excellent problem solving skills Strong attention to detail producing accurate work in a timely manner.
