Rate: $60 - 70k +Super   Location: Sydney   

Desktop Support Analyst - Investment Banking - Sydney. A top tier investment bank is seeking a high calibre desktop support analyst to join their front line team who handle all 1st/2nd line queries from a range of business users. This is a challenging role where you will be expected to engage with a range of business users from the front to Back Office (traders, analysts, accountants, client services) across a range of division’s streams such as Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Private Clients businesses. This is a stand-out opportunity to gain exposure to investment bank specific technologies such as market data delivery mechanisms like Bloomberg, Triarch, Reuters, DataStream. The team is looking for a conscientious individual with excellent communication skills and a solid background in desktop support of Microsoft infrastructure. You will have strong knowledge of Windows Operating systems (NT, 2000, 2003, XP) covering support of all common applications, account administration, application and user share permission administration and hardware support. You will be experienced in implementing rollouts and have used a number of ghosting tools and remote access software. A sound understanding of the service management process within large corporate environments is key and a focussed motivation to improve overall service levels to minimise fault occurrence is essential. You will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role for a large corporate, profit driven organisation supporting a range of users. Experience within investment banking or a similar securities firm will be very useful.
