(IT) Professional Services Manager
Rate: 130k-150k Location: Australian Capital Territory
Professional Services Manager Our client is one of Australia’s leading ICT systems integrators and solutions providers, employing in excess of 750 staff nationwide. The purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of Technology Services/Software Solutions to key projects, predominantly in the federal government sector, including responsibility for the compliance of quality and service delivery metrics, financial performance and operating efficiency goals. The role requires significant relationship management with services staff, SDM’s in other business centres, sales, technicians and contractors. The role will have significant responsibilities in planning, transitioning and establishing the environment and services as well as formalising team roles, responsibilities, third party contracts and service level agreements. The role involves: Manage on-site service delivery staff and activity to ensure operational effectiveness; Develop, coach, reinforce and manage operational standards, policies and procedures. Translate business goals into individual goals for team members and hold people accountable for achievement of those goals. Monitor and improve team performance, providing leadership, coaching and performance management. Maintain an understanding of industry trends that directly relate to specific clients’ business strategies. Liaise with colleagues and other departments to support open communication and exchange of information. Proactively manage any ‘out of scope’ variations to services and liaise with the client (in conjunction with the Account Manager) on how these are to be handled. Work with all aspects of the service delivery teams to manage service delivery to scope of contract and agreed service levels, and to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded. Proactively identify opportunities for further expansion or improvement of services delivered to clients and liaise with the Account Manager(s) for development of that opportunity. A thorough understanding of the Software Development, Software Sales Cycle and Project Management Principles/Methodologies is required for this role. The successful applicant will have proven experience in a professional services environment and a minimum of three years in a people management role. A proven record in Professional Services Management is essential. Previous Systems Integrator/Large scale software development house experience would be extremely relevant for this role.
