(IT) SQL Server DBA with MYSQL - Media

. The Company My client is a market leader in the Australian media sector and they are listed in Australia’s top 50 companies. Their hugely successful online business, which is features some of Australia’s leading household brands, has created n new and exciting role for a SQl Server DBA with MYSQL skills. The Role As the SQL Server Database Administrator you will design and support the database infrastructure for the business ensuring service availability meet or exceed the SLA, ensuring that the change management process is followed and that system database documentation is up to date. You will be responsible for around 40+ databases that support the group’s multiple sites and will have previous experience of working within a dynamic, fast paced organisation. Experience of working within a Web environment would contribute to your success in this role. The Skills To be successful in this role you must have the following: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 3 years + SQL Server DBA experience Minimum of 2 years MYSQL database experience. Proven experience in database tuning optimizing, backup/restore/recovery, database resizing de-fragmentation activities Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills. A thorough approach to work, emphasising attention to detail. Ability to participate in a motivated and dynamic team environment. An understanding of business drivers. A strong consulting focus. You will work within a market leading, professional and dynamic organisation, with a team dedicated to ensuring the success and continued drive of a leading online company. .
