The Company: My Client is a leading communications company based in Sydney. Through its television and radio networks and its online sites, they provides Australians with programs that inform, educate and entertain. The Role: We are looking for two IT professionals to provide development and support function within the UNIX technology platforms. The candidate will provide technical specialisation that provides a range of systems administration and implementation functions. The successful applicant will be required to Co-ordinate support implementation and maintenance of UNIX technology platforms and ongoing technical inputs relating UNIX/LINUX/Other operating systems. Specifically this will involve: technical input to the support of UNIX platforms in use to agreed ABC service standards; technical input and administrative support in the provision of responsive day to day second level support for IT clients; input to the provision of best practice support and standards with appropriate implementation and specification, client and system documentation; the continuing development of, and adherence to, the IT Security Policy; the efficient use of limited resources to deliver maximum benefit participate in a rotating on-call roster. The right candidate: To be successful in this role, you must have: Tertiary qualifications in a computing related field are preferred, demonstrable HP, AIX and Linux experience is mandatory. Well developed communication skills; able to communicate complex technology concepts to management and Clients in both verbal and written form.
