(IT) Infrastructure Engineer - Applications

The Role: They are seeking an experienced IT Applications Infrastructure Engineer to manage Microsoft based applications infrastructure (SharePoint, SQL Server, Analysis Services and IIS). To be successful you will have a strong DBA background. It is expected that you will be responsible for all aspects of managing this infrastructure from installation, tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting to administration, including: On-going management, monitoring and troubleshooting of the applications infrastructure. As needed, be responsible for building and configuring the platforms. Provide performance tuning and capacity planning to applications platforms. Day to day administration of the applications environment. Provide 3rd level face to face technical support to users for incidents and problems Work with other members of the IT Operations team to resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis. In conjunction with the IT Operations Manager and Applications Managers, develop, implement and maintain Disaster Recovery Plan. Adhere to the Client’s release management practices and procedures when instigating change to the environment.
