(IT) Mainframe Developer/Programmer


Location: Canberra, ACT   

The Mainframe Environment Specialist within the Environment Management team will be responsible for the support of the Mainframe application release process. The Mainframe specialist will use their knowledge and experience to identify necessary procedures and technical steps required, and anypotential gaps in the processes. Personal Specification: Extensive Mainframe environment knowledge Knowledge of Mainframe specific operations tools Previous production system support and/system programming experience Strong documentation skills Knowledge of Mainframe development practices Knowledge of basic testing and acceptance processes/best practice Excellence in communication, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate effectively with members of the team as well as external stakeholders and vendors Technical Specification: Thorough understanding of the following areas: zOS (v1.4) CICS DB2 JCL Additionally an understanding of the following would be very useful for the role: SCLM, COBOL, REXX, SQL, Midrange connectivity MQ, Configuration Management For further information please call Chris Sharnock on 6257 9802.
