You will be working as part of an application development team on an exciting new product that would revolutionise the way we utilise power and gas. The company is in its exciting start-up phase and due to the unprecedented growth, they are now looking for career driven developers who can give them more horsepower. In this role you will join a dedicated team in the development, maintenance, enhancement and support of their unique product. The role The main focus of the role is on application development using Perl and C with postgres and Oracle testing. In addition, you will need to be able to deploy Linux operating systems and applications at customer sites. Key skills: Experience in developing applications in Perl (DBI, OO, Perl Modules) and Oracle 9 and above Experience with open source development using various Web based tools such as Apache and MYSQL Unix/Linux (redhat) Ideally you will have experience in system integration using Middleware technologies. In addition to these programming skills, you will also have some level of understanding and exposure to Embedded systems. Developers who enjoy keeping up-to-date with new and existing technologies and who like to show a high level of initiative in managing their career will truly thrive in this environment.
