(IT) Help Desk Analyst - North Ryde - Global Business

Rate: 50k   Location: North Ryde, New South Wales   

A global leader in medical technology is looking for an exceptional helpdesk support analyst to join their team. You will be responsible for the support of hardware, desktop applications and operating systems, which will include carrying out the configuration, testing and implementation of these systems across the business. The successful candidate will need to display their expertise in troubleshooting and be able to think on their feet to solve, at times, quite complex issues. This role will phone based with an opportunity for your to carry out some desktop duties when demand arises. Main duties will include: Be the first point of contact for technical support calls, problem resolution, problem logging, and problem escalation that originate by telephone in a call centre/help desk environment. Provides technical support to users for PC, Server or Mainframe applications and hardware. Answers questions regarding system procedures, on-line transactions, systems status and downtime procedures. Interact with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development in order to restore service and/or identify problems. Maintain an excellent troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems. Recommends systems modifications in order to reduce user problems. Additional responsibilities include: Open call management Knowledge base development Basic case reporting System down announcements Maintaining support procedure documentation Candidates with MCP/MCSE qualifications will be highly regarded for this role. Candidates must display exceptional communication skills and have a can do attitude. This role will require some flexibility as you will be working to a rotational shift pattern.
