(IT) Business Analyst - Equities/Equity Trading - Global Investment Bank


Rate: $120-130K + Bonus   Location: Sydney CBD, New South Wales   

Business Analyst with financial markets exp, ideally incEquities trading/settlements Global Investment Banking & Securities firm Perm or Contract Business Analyst - Investment Bank/Securities Trading - Equities. Global investment banking & securities firm requires a Business Analyst to act as a conduit between business users & local software development teams covering - front, middle & Back Office trading & processing systems - predominantly Equities. The Business Analyst will be in involved in supporting the business’s new product initiatives, driving process improvement and other strategic change initiatives as well as providing guidance for product control and risk issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for scoping and documenting development requirements in support of business and operational initiatives and re-engineering processes from initial problem analysis through to solution implementation. This will require you to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and requirements. To be successful in this role, you will:Show experience either as a Business Analyst within an Investment Banking, Equities , Funds Management, Stockbroking, Securities or Settlements IT environment possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills have excellent written and oral communication skills, tailoring your communications to suit the audience work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions to business opportunities and challenges display a strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of information technology’s contribution and impact upon business be a self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team ideally have a strong working knowledge of the cash equity markets and the processing of trades.Ideally, you will have proven experience across:front, middle and Back Office financial services technology including, but not limited to, order management/trading systems, portfolio management systems, Back Office platforms , settlements the development of successful business cases the full lifecycle of business analysis activities including functional design, process mapping, scope definition, requirements definition, functional design, testing, implementation, and user training gained from within an IT project management background and show a record of successful project deliveryThis role is a key hire into a small & fast growing BA capability within a dynamic trading environment. Therefore the suitable BA will have sufficient experience to lead BA initiaitives & apply process, structure & methodology in instances where perhaps it had previously exisited.
