Location: Sydney   

My client is a highly successful innovator in the field of transport that provides software, service and hardware solutions allowing their customers to manage their organisations more effectively by the use of information technology. Currently there is an immediate need at the company s Surry Hills for a tech savvy Application Support Analyst who will be responsible providing highly specialised technical application support to their customers. This position is very customer focused and you will be responsible for troubleshooting customer applications that run on a Windows Front End and a UNIX Back End and providing a timely problem resolution and escalation. If you are looking for a position that is outside the box, in a laid back atmosphere, and one that will keep you constantly challenged this could be the one for you. Experience and skills needed for the position: 2+ years of specific product based application support experience (other than Microsoft) Solid experience with SQL or Oracle to make reports, manipulate data and troubleshoot. Good UNIX or Linux operating system exposure Excellent customer service focus Clear and concise phone manor Flexibility to work on a rotational standby or after-hours as the need arises Skills and experience that would be a plus: TAFE certificate or tertiary degree in Computer Science UNIX operating system exposure Microsoft MCSE certification For more information please contact David Dikranian at (see below) or 02 9270 5228
