(IT) Systems Accountant – Work For A Global Organisation

Location: Sydney, New South Wales   

Outstanding opportunity to join the operational area of a leading Investment Bank. Ideal role for an experienced System Accountant who is a real ‘people person’ A passion for both IT and Accounting required! As part of continuing growth we are assisting a global Investment Bank to find an experienced and passionate Systems Accountant to work with their Key Financial Accounting System in a team based environment. The scope of this role is broad and will see you providing day to day support of their General Ledger, System Configuration and maintenance, minor enhancements and delivery of key projects alongside the Senior GL Team Leader. To be considered for this position you must have the following experience: Peoplesoft V8 experience in GL preferred. Will consider similar experience in SAP, Oracle Financials, etc Allocations, Consolidations and Foreign Currency processing. End to end knowledge of the Journal import and posting processes Experience in other Peoplesoft modules will be highly regarded. SQL skills an advantage Degree qualified (a preference, but not essential) Professional Requirements: Previous experience in a global firm with exposure to Multi Currency, Revaluations and Intercompany accounting Experience in financial services and or commerce would be a significant advantage. Systems accounting/administration experience preferably in a Peoplesoft environment Experience in General ledger and report processing Within the role You will be reporting to the GL Team Leader and working as part of a highly skilled and capable team who are focussed on delivering a quality service to both local and internationally based accountants.
