(IT) Network Security Engineer

Network Security Engineer. Permanent Position. South Eastern Suburbs. Our client offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join a successful and dynamic team environment. If you have outstanding technical skills and a customer focused approach then this is the job for you! The primary focus of this role is to provide ownership, management and support of the Firewall and network security environment. In order to be successful in this role you would ideally have: Experience in the configuration & maintenance of network/communications infrastructure. Ability to support a variety of products (Nortel & Cisco) and security environments (Cisco PIX and Checkpoint) Experience with Service Management tools - Network Node Manager and HP Open view. Strong skills in Router & Switch Hardware (Nortel & Cisco), Frame Relay, ATM, Protocols (TCP/IP/IPX/IBM), Routing Protocols & Firewalls (Nokia/Checkpoint/PIX). In depth understanding/experience in LAN’s, WAN’s, Load balancing, Firewall administration & intrusion detection.
