(IT) Help Desk Technical Support
Location: Auckland
Our client is a key distributor of significant IT software and seek an intelligent and articulate person to assist clients with technical issues. As much of your time will be spent on the telephone, clear verbal communication skills are essential. You should have a customer service attitude and be able to remain calm when things get hectic. Some on-site work will also be required from time to time. It is expected that you will have already undergone some basic training on computer systems, or can use computer terminology. Further training will be provided to ensure you progress. Ideal attributes: Some experience in IT hardware and software so you can assist in internal systems administration Some understanding of basic computer components Spreadsheet experience eg MS Excel Experience in dealing with external customers Strong team player with a flexible attitude to do whatever is needed.
