(IT) Web Developer/Analyst Programmer

Rate: Commensurate With Experience   Location: Brisbane   

As a Analyst Programmer, you will be responsible for the provision of business systems analysis, applications configuration, software development and testing services in both development and project environments. A detailed level of knowledge and experience in software development is required. Reporting to the Team Leader within the Business System, your major duties will include: - Provide analysis and programming functions across a variety of systems, including a range of support, development and project duties. - Work with users to understand detailed requirements and provide estimates for development and project work. - Design, code, test, modify and install programs for a variety of applications (including desktop applications). - Preparing project related reports as required. - Undertaking complex analysis/programming. - Identifying process improvement opportunities - Recording, monitoring, and completing user support requests. - Undertaking System Test, Planning Management. Systems Integration Test Planning Test Case Development. - Providing guidance to users for User Acceptance Test Case Development. - Liaising with clients to clarify/understand their requirements. - Installation, configuration and Roll-out of applications as well as performing minor software upgrades and applying software “patches” as required. To be a successful applicant for this role, core skills an d competencies required are as follows: - Degree qualifications with a substantial information technology component or other qualifications acceptable to the Australian Computer Society for membership status. - MCSD certification is highly desirable. - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary information management principles and technology, standards and services in a service environment. - Demonstrated experience and understanding of Systems Analysis, Programming Techniques and Software Quality Assurance. - In-depth knowledge and experience of relevant programming systems relating to graphic design, Web applications and Web technologies.
