(IT) Project Manager

Great package! Our client is going through phenomenal growth and have recently secured a large Government contract which will see them triple in size over the next 3 years. They specialise in the provision of Project Management, Design, Integration and Implementation of ICT technology projects for medium to large organisation in both the public and private sectors. They are about to embark upon a number of projects that involve the establishment of numerous small to large networked environments using Cisco and Nortel equipment and are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager. As the Project Manager your key focus will be the effective co-ordination, management and successful execution of all phases of a project from the initial establishment of requirements to final handover to the client. You will also be responsible for: Establishing a full understanding and definition of the client’s requirements. Delivering the project in accordance with the client’s expectations. Leading and managing the project team and ensure that the team is working in a co-operative and cohesive manner. Deliver the project on time, within budget and to the agreed quality standards. Manage the commercial conditions and contractual aspects of the project. Manage all financial aspects and control the financial outcome of the project. Maximise the clients budgeted margin for the project and identify additional profit opportunities within the project. Identify future opportunities through variations and additional projects, both before and after the commencement of project implementation. Ability to work as a member of multi-skilled project team to achieve an integrated outcome. To be successful you will ideally have skills in the following areas: 3 years industry experience in ICT project management. Industry certifications/qualifications. Able to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You must be an Australian citizen and be able to go through a secret security clearance. Ideally, applicants will have AIPM membership with a Registered Project Manager qualification. Prince 2 training is looked upon favourably.
