(IT) Senior Infrastructure/Systems Manager

Senior Infrastructure/Systems Manager Would you like a shot at running our Corporate IT? This is an exciting opportunity for a generalist who can dive into networking equipment and software, Windows environments and software, and several virtualisation technologies. Some of the core areas of our technology investment and management are: VPN, Cisco, Windows 2003, Sharepoint 2007, Oracle, Linux, Apache, IIS, Tripwire, and Zenoss, to name just a few. You’ll enjoy a wide range of hands-on tasks, such as installing and maintaining software, anti-virus protection and monitoring Servers and back up software. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to flex your expertise as you manage Multiple Data Centres, lead our Disaster Recovery and Fault Tolerance solutions, and manage physical network tasks such as maintaining DHCP, DNS & WINS. What we’ll look for in you is the ability to work autonomously, coupled with a keen desire to sink your teeth into the role and exploit our many technical training opportunities. We re a rapidly-growing yet close-knit team, and you’ll ideally be someone who would one day like to lead it! With skills and experience in multiple IT environments (desktop, Server, Windows, Linux, network, telephony), you’ll also be a skilled communicator with a good understanding of several Microsoft technologies (MS Active Directory support, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server, MS Office, Sharepoint, etc). You will also have some experience with Cisco systems. Certification such as CCNA or CCIE would be a great advantage, as would past experience in creating a Data Centre.
