(IT) Senior Cisco Network Analyst, North Shore

The role: - Take ownership of network incidents escalated from Level 1 staff and identify actions required to resolve, and to liaise with relevant parties to progress problems to completion. - Formulate and perform acceptance testing of new network hardware into the customer network. - Plan scheduled maintenance or outages in line with customer’s guidelines and ensure the customer-specific or client’ change management processes are followed - Develop and maintain knowledge/skills in order effectively propose alternative solutions to technical issues and queries from the customer. - Resolve technical issues and queries within the timeframe agreed between our client’s company and the customer, and to provide advanced technical support from a remote location either by telephone or email. - Planning, scheduling and implementing network hardware maintenance requirements and upgrades. - Attending relevant product and skill courses. - Preparation then analysis of monthly network performance statistics & recommendations on proactive actions to improve network performance/efficiency/stability/etc. - Attain detailed knowledge and understanding of customer environments Your Knowledge and Experience: - Typically secondary/high school qualified and at least 4-5 years relevant experience working in a Network Operation/Management Centre. - Previous experience in day-to-day management of multiple-site environments comprising Cisco Routers/Switches, Cisco Wireless LAN devices is essential. - CCNP/CCVP accreditation and/or an ability to demonstrate relevant industry experience is essential. - PacketShaper appliances experience would be an advantageous - Demonstrate excellent technical and problem management skills. - Ability to prioritise problems and meet deadlines. - Strong customer service and relationship building skills. - Confident decision maker. - Candidate with CCNA would be considered for Network Management Analyst role.
