(IT) Level 3 Network And Communications Support Engineer


Location: Melbourne East

This is great opportunity for a Level 3 network Support Engineer to take their skills to the next level. This role is based at our Data Centre and involves a broad & dynamic spectrum of responsibilities. You will provide support to customers on existing infrastructure, encompassing: - General configuration changes to communications equipment/network - Moving, adding to or changing the overall infrastructure - Fault analysis and diagnosis using standard tools - Documentation of infrastructure and procedures - Assisting in proposal preparation - Basic design work To be successful for this role you will have: - Excellent understanding of infrastructure at the logical and physical level, including: TCP/IP, Ethernet, Frame Relay, DSL, DNS, 802.11 and authentication protocols TACACS, RADIUS, EAP, PEAP and MD5 etc 802.1x experience advantageous - Strong Cisco Routers and switch knowledge - Must have CCNA certification, CCNP certification highly advantageous - Strong knowledge in OSPF, EIGRP & BGP routing protocols - Understanding and skills in configuring QoS - Experience with PIX.
