Tropical North Queensland Location Excellent Working Conditions Attractive Salary Package Primary Obectives of the Position Lead and co-ordinate the development of Policies, Strategic Plans, Models, Guidelines and Emergency Planning/Response relating to the planning, design and implementation of the Transport, Drainage and Parks Foreshore Programs Be the lead authority in Council on matters in relation to transport and traffic planning. as well as engage in effective interaction and networking at various levels within Council and external to Council. Key Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategic Infrastructure Planning: Lead, co-ordinate and manage the preparation and review of management/strategic plans (Priority Infrastructure Plans) for the Transport, Drainage, Parks Foreshore Programs Provide leadership, management and guidance to the technical and support staff reporting to the position Establish and maintain information systems (relating to priority, trigger, funding) to support analysis and decision-making for infrastructure planning and capital works programming. Provide timely, accurate and professional advice to the Manager and General Manager on issues relating to infrastructure planning Ensure adequate and timely processing andconsideration of all correspondence, reports, advice and plans Establish and promote a commitment to high quality customer service Transport and Traffic Planning: Investigation,
