(IT) Telecommunications Field Technician

Intra-State travel Circa $50-60k package Ex-Telstra person would be ideal Our client is changing the face of telecommunications in Australia through the delivery of innovative, cost-effective, and easy to use data services. They deliver solutions around a variety of hardware platforms, including fibre, copper, Laser and broadband radio data carriage systems, all connected with high performance packet switching equipment to create a single, seamless, carrier data network. They are now seeking a Telecommunications Field Technician to join their Networks team. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the rural network is monitored and maintained. Your main responsibilities will include: Maintain existing telecommunications infrastructure; Respond to fault reports and follow up to ensure the faults are fixed; Ensure any required Preventative Maintenance is performed; Ensure fault notification and outage advisories are issued and managed; Maintain accurate records and logs for each site; Work with engineering staff to install and configure new equipment; Manage security and OHS on each site. To be considered for this role you must have: Recognised Industry Training, working at heights and tower rescue certificates; Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cabling license and rigging license would be desirable; A working knowledge of Cisco routers, Ethernet Switches and telephone cabling would also be highly desirable;
