(IT) Snr IT Security Tech Support Specialist


Location: Brisbane   

Brisbane based opportunity with this Global Leader and recognised brand name for a Senior Security Specialist. This is a permanent role with flexible working hours. Within this exciting, key and challenging technical role you will be expected to: monitor threats (active and potential), be responsible for relevant security devices, and respond to and work with customers on an as needs basis. With a background in IT Security going back 3-5 years you will upgrade various hardwares and have responsibility for applications including firewalls, domains and adhere to and recommend changes to policy. QA process will of course also be part of your role as a senior representative of the specialist team in the Security arena. In previous roles you will have had support experience, on the phone or face to face, and this may have included firewalls, IDS, IPS and various other security related technologies. You will have strong understanding of TCP/IP, multiple operating systems and along with being self motivated you will have excellent communication skills. Checkpoint, Cisco and UNIX exposure along with industry certifications in the security field will be highly advantageous.
