(IT) Infrastructure Analyst
Rate: $45-$65/Hour Depending On Experience Location: Sydney
This large Government Dept is the owner, operator and manager of the high voltage electricity transmission system throughout New South Wales (NSW), Australia. They are seeking a suitably experienced Administrative or Technical Officer to work closely with the IS Service Management Team and IT Projects team to ensure the IT infrastructure is suitable to meet the reliability, availability and general support requirements of the business. Main Functions: Manage Asset life cycle of the Server, storage, desktop and systems software infrastructure. Provide technical review of IT projects, ensuring the suitability and supportability of the solution against the business requirements. Manage the weekly change cycle ensure impacts, issues, etc are managed. Work with 3rd party suppliers on infrastructure problems. Research, evaluate and procure IT infrastructure to meet the business requirements. Assist with adhoc infrastructure issues as they arise, and manage them through to resolution. Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in an IT oriented discipline and/or relevant experience. Analytical and problem solving skills. Understanding of the Service Delivery processes. Excellent time management. Exceptional Written skills. Understanding of Cisco Networks (server, storage, network).
