(IT) Infrastructure Engineer

Up to $500/day contract (3 months with a possible 12 month extension) Great team culture Exciting roleThis is an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure/Data Centre Engineer to work within a dynamic environment with a great culture. Based in Sydneys North West our client is a major company with a successful reputation. The role is hands on and involves the planning, design and testing of infrastructure projects, most notably cabling and server racking projects, patching and maintaining patching records.Skills and Experience Previous Infrastructure design experience within a data centre, specifically cabling design and putting together technical design documents. Implementing changes to the network infrastructure Experience in installing and implementing Servers and Switches ie Wintel, UNIX, Cisco Switches Ensuring service availability is unimpaired Ensure that a high standard of infrastructure installation is maintained Manage spares and inventory as required, Liaise with customers, building Manager and internal staff on project related issues Perform installation of IT infrastructure, as required. This may include server racking, Cat6 cabling and testing, oversee some electrical work, both AC and DC.
