(IT) Network Management Specialist

Our client, a leader in their field and continually growing through organic expansion and also acquisition, has a current opportunity for a Network Management Specialist with Unix, Scripting and Cisco experience. The key responsibilities of this position include: configuration and support for network management systems. Development of automated provisioning scripts for various network components as required. Development of custom built management tools as required. Development of automation routines to assist the network operation with routine tasks such as network migrations etc. Management of the installation and upgrade process for 3rd party network management systems. In order to successfully carry out these key tasks it will be expected your experience will have included the following: exposure to and knowledge of Cisco equipment - preferably with CCNA or similar. Good TCP/IP network knowledge. Good level of competence in Perl and Unix Scripting. High level of competence in Windows based systems. Able to solve problems requiring extension of current knowledge, with only limited supervision and guidance. Good communication skills both written and oral. 3-5 years in network operations and 1-3 years in IT or system administration.
