(IT) IT Technical Specialist/OPS Manager - CBD

2500 staff+ and large IT infrastructure sound like the next role for you? We require someone who has had many years in the IT Industry with a strong focus on IT operations. Environment: Windows XP (SP2), Windows 2000/2003 Server. Key objectives of the position: to provide excellence in IT operations by meeting or exceeding service level agreements; by prudent management of the clients physical IT assets and environments and by providing strategic advice on future directions in IT infrastructure. Responsibilities: assist in the effective management of the outsourced IT operations area. The regular achievement of agreed service level agreements between IT and the business. The periodic refresh and rollout of new hardware and versions of the SOE. The refinement of IT Disaster Recovery plans and facilities. Market scans and analysis of vendor proposals leading to Procurement Recommendations. Capacity planning and preparation of budget bids. Effective vendor liaison. Key requirements for the position; demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities listed above, preferably in both an outsourced and in sourced IT environment. Extensive knowledge of Server and network technologies, especially those relevant to the client. Experience in at least medium-sized, complex IT sites. Experience in the successful management of IT Projects, including rollouts of desktop hardware and SOEs. Position requires a person who is used to working in an environment where adherence to change
