(IT) Desktop Support Officer

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experience IT support professional to join one of Australia’s largest blue chip companies. Based on Brisbane’s northside, you will have responsibility for providing second/third level support for hardware, software and data communications to an internal user base across QLD. This will involve onsite support to 2 main sites in Brisbane Metro, as well as remote support to users across other areas of Queensland. Some travel between sites will be required, as will mentoring of junior staff on an ad-hoc basis. Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 5 years commercial experience within IT, with an excellent understanding of Windows XP/2000/NT, MS Office and MS Exchange. Solid hardware experience (desktops, laptops and peripherals) is also required, along with a general understanding of networking (ie. TCP/IP connectivity, Hubs and routers).
