(IT) Consulting Architect

This successful Australian IT services company is seeking a Consulting Architect to join their communications and security team in Canberra to assisting with all aspects of the design, planning and participation in Cisco network and VOIP based project solutions. The Consulting Architect will provide comprehensive design and technical support to the sales team as well as assisting and complementing the mid to junior level Engineers in a mentor as well as technical capacity. Your responsibilities will include: develop detailed implementation plans in conjunction with Project Managers for networks and VOIP solutions to ensure smooth and effective migration to new technology versions. Provide technical leadership in the execution of project implementation. Provide technical guidance to the project team and customer. Consult with customers to determine needs and meet with customer on an ongoing basis throughout network solution and VOIP solution development. Apply appropriate business analysis techniques to develop and design complex Infrastructure Architectures. Provide assistance to the implementation and Support Engineers for issues of a high complexity. Participate in consultative activities such as design and risk assessment reviews of network and VOIP solutions. Provide support to the customer for evaluations and critical benchmarks, proof of concepts. Conduct requirement studies and cost-benefit analysis and identify alternatives and fully describe recommendations. The
