(IT&T) IT Security Analyst

Working for one of Australia’s leading financial institutions based in the heart of the City, this opening will be joining the small and professional entreprise IT security team. The ideal candidate will come from a broad IT background with about 4-5 years experience in 2nd and 3rd level support now looking to take their career to a new level within the field of security. The position will involve providing security and risk management oversight of operational activities ensuring that the internal applications and systems are delievred securely in accordance with the company’s policies. Job responsibilities: assessing operational processes and procedures for risk and compliance and taking the appropriate action changes. analysing the configuration of security systems such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS and antivirus. Providing security operations support during the development and deployment of new rojects. Reviewing and taking action on system security patches and vunerabilities such as operational security threats and incidents. Required skills: 4-5 years experience in IT essentially 2nd and 3rd level support. Broad IT experience across various platforms (ex: MS, Unix). (IT&T) Network Analyst - Cisco

Cisco Network Engineer - CBD - enterprise client. Major CBD client requires additional Cisco networking expertise on their National LAN/WAN team to assist with project completion and delivering operational excellence on an ongoing basis. The primary purpose of this role is to take operational responsibility for the delivery and support of Cisco Data Network services across Australia. The role provides implementation, configuration, operations and support services for Cisco Switches, Routers, load-balancers, acceleration appliances and network monitoring equipment. Skills required: 3+ years experience in LAN/WAN networking technology in a large enterprise. 3 + years experience with enterprise IP based networks. Prior experience of working with carriers/vendors/ suppliers. 3 + years experience in Cisco Products. Solid knowledge and understanding of switching and routing protocols. Solid knowledge and understanding of Cisco proprietary technologies (eg CDP, VTP etc). Sound knowledge and understanding of VLAN configurations, port allocations and monitoring. Cisco certification would be advantageous.
