Position: Technical Analyst - Unix & Systems Management
Skills: Exciting opportunity for a Unix & Systems Management (Control-M, Tivoli, etc) Engineer to join this global market leader. You will be proficient in Control-M scheduling and have strong Unix configuration, support and administration skills. Working within the automation team, you will be involved in the design, implementation, customizing and support of enterprise system management processes and software. As a senior member of the team you will also be involved in the supervision and mentoring of other team members. Day to day responsibilities will include: design, configure and implement enterprise system management tools (eg NetIQ, Patrol, TSM, Legato, Control-M) on all assigned platforms. Design, configure and support system and application monitoring tools (NetIQ, Patrol Automate system and application recovery using the system management tools available (eg monitoring, scheduling, backup) in order to get maximum service availability and system reliability whilst minimizing costs. Provide support on assigned system management tools within the teams responsibility (eg BMC Patrol, NetIQ app manager) including on-call. The successful candidate will have strong skills within AIX Unix and Wintel software configuration, support and administration. Programming skills on Unix and NT are highly desirable as is a knowledge of system management tools (eg Control-M, TSM, NetIq, Patrol).
