Position: Unix Administrator
Skills: Unix Administrator, top company, CBD location, good benefits. Leading Australian insurance company with a strong national presence is looking for a Unix Administrator to contribute to the Unix Server team by providing highly available, efficient, secure & accurate service to the business through the ongoing maintenance of the Unix environment. We will be looking for the following: 3 years minimum working in IT in a Unix Server management support/ administration role. Install & management experience of Unix Servers with in depth operational knowledge of Unix architecture environments including clustering, fibre-channel networks & toolsets. Proven ability in use of reporting & forecasting on Server capacity using tools such as Patrol and/or other enterprise system management software. Experience in managing a configuration management database, Server provisioning & business continuity concepts, tools & processes. Experience analysing & diagnosing problems in a clustered environment utilising fibre channel storage services. Proven experience in delivery & ongoing support of enterprise production systems & administration & management of enterprise level applications in a multi platform environment supporting 100 Server clients MCSE or equivalent industry experience. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft, Novell and/or Linux operating systems. Ability to be able to self-manage & work with minimum supervision. Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
