Skills: Windows Systems Administrator, XP, W2K - Server & Desktop, global investment bank infrastructure services group of this leading global investment bank requires a Windows Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer to cover 2nd & 3rd level support queries & projects. The core focus of the role is to ensure the availability & take responsibility for the XP/Win2K Server and desktop infrastructure, responsibilities will be to ensure the availability of the Office Automation Servers and to work with development teams to ensure the integration of various mission critical systems. The Windows Systems Administrator will manage Windows/network implementations & support across some 600 users in Australia covering core day-to-day Windows systems administration. The role: support & administration of Windows services such as File & Print, Lotus Notes, backup & restore, SMS, DHCP and WINS & Application Servers. Provide 3rd level support to the Help Desk. Working with the Help Desk & 2nd level Support Analyst to provide timely resolution to problems logged with the help desk. Provide a reference point for all aspects of PC use and Windows administration. Maintenance and support of desktop applications available on the network. Help drive software licence management & hardware inventory management. Roll out of new devices onto the network and new network implementations. Experience required: MS Windows Server System Administration.
