Ideally you will have a sound knowledge of Java associated development environments and solid mathematical skills. Knowledge in one or more of the other programming languages such as VB/VBA, SQL, C++, Perl, and Unix Shell Scripts etc. and associated development environments would be an advantage. Responsibilities: Develop & maintain applications that support the business..Resolve technical queries and production outages/break-fix..Work with external and/or global development teams to ensure the successful. development and delivery of sophisticated applications and conducting/coordinating local Systems and Integration Testing..Act as a key contributor in the formulation and implementation of the technology. architecture strategy for the Australian Equity Technology team..Assist in the supervision of Analyst Programmers. Experience: 7 years or more of development experience in the consumer banking and finance industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a large IT site. Sound knowledge of systems design and database concepts to ensure applications can be maintained easily. Engage in tactical planning and contribute to strategic planning. Supervise Analyst Programmer when and if required.
